OLD FASHION

Old Fashion is a Brisbane based rock n roll band driven by the irrational obsession for making music.

It’s simple, we’re a live band and we’re here to make you dance. We have played with many great bands including I Am Giant, Like Thieves and Tin Can Radio and we will always make ourselves available to you lovely people.

Despite always having each other’s information, we had never joined together to create collective noise. This became an obvious endeavor, when we crawled from the ashes of past projects, and met once again in therapy. In this safe environment we realised we needed to, and could only, do it ourselves.

At the beginning we went knocking on a many door to find our front man/vocalist. After a while, we said ‘fuck it’, flipped a coin and JJ drew the short straw. We were always close, and through the abyss of traveling and drinking plentiful amounts of alcohol and enjoying oneself in a noisy and lively way (carousing), the only thing that we could cling to as a productive activity was playing music. Figured that you might want to hear it.

The story of Old Fashion is somewhat of a ‘bro-mantic comedy’, however not funny, not even slightly.

Guitar solos are back in!

ELKO FIELDS
Kella Vee (vocals/guitar) and Tomas Stephenson (vocals/drums) are ELKO FIELDS – a raucous, riff heavy, ‘cut the bullshit’ style, rock duo hailing from Brisbane. Their first single “Cough It Up” demands attention right from the first note and is a statement that will no doubt see the band explode onto the scene. “Cough It Up” was written as a mish-mash of ideas that seem to have gelled together nicely.

Elko Fields first met when they both joined another band after being invited by mutual friends. They immediately hit it off and began collaborating while travelling the East Coast of Australia, playing covers to pay for food and fuel. While traveling they would find inspiration by spending long nights in remote locations. As often possible the duo would load up their backpacks and take themselves as far from civilisation as possible with a notebook and an acoustic guitar.

After releasing a handful of raucous, unapologetically produced demos, Elko Fields finally debuted their live set with a headline show at The Zoo in November 2015. In the wake their successful first show the band sent their demos around the country and immediately picked up interest from Ian Haug (Powderfinger), owner of iconic Brisbane label AIRLOCK RECORDS. Together with Arilock Elko Fields refined their garage demos and recorded their debut EP.

LOTUS SHIP
Introducing LOTUS SHIP, a Gold Coast five-piece playing a a sultry mix of psychadelic funk and the kind of 70s Golden Era rock that your Dad would be proud of. Comprising two harmonious guitarists and a bass and percussion team backing charismatic frontman Mitchell Watterson, this band is ensuring that a feeling is delivered.
Not just a live set, or a track; an emotion. There is something missing that this band of friends has come together to create.
Mitchell formed the band two years ago and since then, through a serious of fortunate events, new members have been attracted to form the current lineup of Lotus Ship.
