Our Beer Garden is open for food and drinks from 12noon.

The Triffid has just turned two and is already one of Australia’s most loved live music venues for punters and artists alike.

For our first year the Triffid garden was home for the much-loved Triffid Roots we worked alongside Sarah Howells to ensure that our Sunday session was second to none.

The summer of 2016/2017 will see The Triffid re-invent our Sunday sessions.

Based on a passion for spirited acoustic music we have partnered with the Americana Association of Australia for present AMERICANA SESSIONS FREE EVERY SUNDAY IN THE TRIFFID GARDEN.

Every Sunday lovers of Folk, Country, Rhythm & Blues, Blues and Rock and Roll will be presented with some of the most respected artists around. This will all be happening in relaxed surrounds of the Triffid garden with a brand new menu for the foodies and plenty of other musical and beverage surprises.

Sue Ray - B&W

Hailing from Toowoomba, Sue Ray has been performing professionally for over sixteen years. In that time, she has released two critically acclaimed albums “Best Beware” followed by “Red Roses” that was produced by Aria award winning producer Magoo at Applewood Studios.

In the past five years, Sue has had a number of awards and nominations. From “Most Promising New Talent” in the 2013 Deadly awards to “Female Artist Of The Year” in the QLD Music Awards that same year.

In 2012, her album “Red Roses” was nominated for “Country Album Of The Year” in the AIR Independent Music Awards, and later that year her title track “Lover Evermore” received the award for “Best Indigenous Track” in the QLD Music Awards.

Splitting her time between Nashville Tennessee and Brisbane, Sue is continuing to grow in popularity, touring and performing regularly with her band.

Anne McCue, a respected Australian singer songwriter that is based in Nashville, was so impressed with Sue Ray that she joined her band and quickly signed Sue to her independent record label based in Nashville called “Flying Machine Records”.

Sue is currently back in Australia where she will be releasing her next album titled “Live At The Junk Bar”, and will be commencing a tour in early 2017.
