Lizzie Flynn

With a combination of lyrical honesty and charming melodies, Lizzie Flynn writes songs that blend a little satirical storytelling with a lot of joyful emotion. With The Runaway Trains they go off the tracks to play folk that all folk can relate to – from country to Celtic and a few other stations in-between. The Trains: Gareth Mewes (violin), Benja King (double bass) and Sam De Santi (Guitar, banjo).

CJ Shaw

Armed with a guitar and a swag full of harmonicas, singer-songwriter CJ Shaw’s intricate finger-picking, wordplay, and storytelling never fails to captivate his audiences. In 2020, CJ Shaw was nominated for an ARIA Award for ‘Music Teacher of the Year’ with Jimmy Barnes as his official ambassador presenting him with the nomination.

Tin Star

Brisbane trio Tin Star can be hard to pin down – while they have always considered themselves to have one foot in each of the folk and country camps, they have also been compared to the Waifs and Kasey Chambers.  These folk and roots underpinnings that have long been a Tin Star hallmark are still there, but after years of playing a wide range of venues and festivals, they continue to evolve.
