HOUSEPLANTS are a psychedelic plantpunk BONK-rock 4 piece from Meanjin/Brisbane recording and producing music completely DIY with smartphones.

Wrangling optimism in the face of world-ending doom, they blend psych and shoe-gaze genetics with lo-fi, danceable chaos. Their debut EP ‘ARE WE NOT PLANTS?’ spent 9 weeks on Brisbane’s community radio 4ZZZ’s top charts, earned album of the week and a #46 spot on their publicly voted Hot 100.

In 2024 the plants opened for SPARTA, The Empty Threats, Majak Door and Seaside.
