Queensland’s biggest celebration of homegrown music is back — and the nominees are in! The Triffid has revealed the five Queensland artists going head-to-head for the 2025 Album Of The Year title. Presented in partnership with The Music, this annual tradition puts the decision in the hands of the people, with public voting open Tuesday 21 October – Friday 21 November (5pm).

It’s time to throw your support behind your favourite Queensland act and help decide who takes home the crown.

On Thursday 27 November at The Triffid in Meanjin/Brisbane, the winner’s album will be unveiled in true Triffid style — with a big banner drop before taking its place on the legendary Hero Wall, alongside Queensland icons Powderfinger, Violent Soho, Cub Sport, and The Go-Betweens. This is a free entry event, so don’t miss it!
