Once Londoner, now Gold Coast based Folk-punk singer inspired by the likes of Billy Bragg, Kimya Dawson and Elliott Smith.
Laura’s songs are heartfelt tales of disconnect, loss and love, wrapping true to life story telling in softly sung melodies and gentle guitar parts.
In 2013 Laura was invited by Joey Cape to play original song “Hail, Hail, The Dead Can Dance” during his set at The Loft, Gold Coast after he saw a video of Laura performing of the song in a YouTube video.
In 2014 Laura signed to ‘One Week Records’ owned by Joey Cape (Lagwagon) releasing her debut album with One Week in 2015, which was recorded and produced by Joey Cape at his home studio in San Francisco, California.
Since then Laura has completed a National Australian One Week Records tour supporting Joey Cape, Chris Cresswell (The Flatliners), Brian Wahlstrom (Scorpios) in 2015 as well as a four-week long One Week Records UK & European tour in 2016 alongside Joey Cape, Yotam Ben Horin and Walt Hamburger.
UK based Independent record label ‘Aaahh!!! Real Records’ released Laura’s debut album on CD format in early 2016, it has since sold out.
