NEWSTEAD ROOTS – POSTPONED

Sat Mar 28 @ 5:00 pm

Our Beer Garden is open for food and drinks from 12noon. Tickets can be scanned off your phone if it has no major cracks - please turn your brightness up.

The Triffid, Nala Music Management & The Music proudly present the ANNUAL NEWSTEAD ROOTS FESTIVAL, a raw celebration of East-Coast Roots music on Saturday 28th March. Expect a massive evening filled with feel-good tunes & fun-loving vibes, it’s going to be a big one! Two stages, specialised drink and food offerings.

Headlining the Fest this year is none other than TIJUANA CARTEL, a party-starting act that have earnt their place on the touring circuit for being able to effortlessly blend up a tasty mix of world music & club beats time and time again.

Progressive surf-roots rockers BAND OF FREQUENCIES are set to play the Fest this year, as will FAT PICNIC, who are well-known for bringing high levels of brass attack energy to any stage they perform on.

We are very excited to have the wonderfully-enchanting RUBY GILBERT play Newstead Roots in 2020, as well as Cigany Weaver’s own JO DAVIE in solo mode, live & unplugged. Get down early to witness the powerful, healing, warm & rhythmic music of BLACK SALT, whilst Brisbane-based jam crew ACCOMPLICE COLLECTIVE offer up a seriously flavoursome concoction of divine beats & grooves.

The Triffid Garden stage will feature some incredibly talented acoustic artists, whilst The Triffid Kitchen and Bars will be serving up all of your favourites bites & drinks!

Doors from 5pm, we encourage everyone to get down early.
