June 27 – July 2

Written and recorded in the English countryside at Deep Litter Studios at Start Point in Dorset (UK), the album is set to be released on the 15th of June. Roo’s music is comparable to the likes of Ben Howard, Sufjan Stevens and Bon Iver in the sense that he too creates emotive, timeless and personal songs. However, whilst the aforementioned artists more often than not deal in the currency of melancholy, positivity is the backbone of Roo’s music. Whilst preferring to allow the listener to interpret his songs, Roo has described his new album as having “a general theme of encouragement“. Conceptual in origin, “Quiet Man” is brilliantly fresh and totally unforced; it feels like what could become Roo Panes’ finest body of work to date. In Roo’s words, “I think the album is about stillness and the things that give you confidence. It’s about beautiful thoughts, the beautiful things that give you life. And so from that comes strength.
